Have you ever looked in the mirror and hated what you were seeing? What a stupid question right. Of course you have. If you are a mom or a female growing up in western society the answer is a hard YES! No matter how good we eat, or how hard we train, there are still these constant thoughts that run through our heads. We are just not good enough, not skinny enough, we don't know enough, blah blah blah. Well I'm here to change that. I am tired of living up to others expectations. I want to live for me. So this blog is going to be just that. Me. I want to show the ladies of the world that we don't have to be perfect all the time. I want to make this a place where we can come and express ourselves without negative feedback. Only empowerment. We are all so unique. There is no one size fits all diet. I know this is something that most people are waking up to now, but I think the more we are reminded that we need to listen to our bodies, the more it starts to become a habit.

I started training back in 2020 but that's not where fitness became part of my life. After I had my second child in 2014 my body was a wreck. I was 24 years old and did not own a full size mirror. My husband Ray and I went on a solo trip to Colorado to start exploring the U.S. a bit. The hotel room we were staying in happen to have a full size mirror on the bathroom door, and that's where I saw her. The girl that I was avoiding to confront. The sad girl staring back at me needed to change something inside. Not only was I heavier, but I was majorly depressed. I felt like I lost so much of myself while moving into motherhood. I lost my desire to have fun. I lost my desire to move, dress nice, go out with friends. I knew nothing of fitness, besides doing cardio for 20 minutes on an elliptical and then crunching my stomach until it burned. At least this is what I knew to work when I was 19. This was the moment I got a gym membership and signed up for my first group fitness experience. I checked the schedule and Dance cardio and Kickboxing both stood out to me. I love to dance. I started to take the classes and never turned back. Eventually, the instructor knew that I memorized her entire routine and asked me to cover one day. As nervous as I was, I gladly agreed. From there, I started teaching Dance Cardio (similar to Zumba) all over the place. Of course now I had my own routines and choreography. Dance saved my life. It saved my soul. The joy it brings me to this day is indescribable and I don't even teach it anymore. It reminded me of who I was before I had kids.

What's my point? Find something that brings you joy. When I started Dancing again I had no intentions of making a career out of it. I just knew I loved it. Since then, I have become a group fitness instructor, Personal Trainer, Nutrition coach and so much more. It brought me to my true desire. Helping others discover themselves and there potential. I love learning new and exiting things about the human body, mind, and soul. Training starts from within. So Im here to keep learning. I want to bring you as much content as possible to help guide you on your journey.
